\"\"<\/a>Paul was first drawn to Mexico by the colours and textures, plus the possibility of finding extraordinary light.\u00a0 These he found aplenty in the mountains of the heartland north of Mexico City, and much more — rich history and culture, beautiful colonial architecture, warm and friendly people, amazing art and craftwork, delightful details and fascinating flavours, gardens and ghost towns\u2026<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Now Paul returns each year in March, accompanied by a small groups of photographers who want to experience the magical ambience while challenging themselves to improve their work.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>The tours are currently based in San Miguel de Allende, a well-known mecca for artists and photographers due to the special quality of light and the unique character of its colonial streets and buildings. The casita provides private bedrooms and bathrooms for participants, plus a communal kitchen and living area where daily instruction and feedback take place. Over seven days, the group wanders the cobblestone streets and explores the gardens, the churches and the hills of this lovely town. As well, there are day trips to photograph in the colourful city of Guanajuato and the semi-ghost town of Pozos.<\/p>\n

On a typical day, the group would gather for breakfast at the casita between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. This is followed by two to three hours of photographic instruction and feedback. Participants then have a couple of hours of free time before meeting at a pre-arranged location for the afternoon\/evening shoot. After sunset, it is free time again, with each person dining and making his\/her way back to the casita at leisure. On the final night the group gathers at the casita for a wrap-up dinner and photo show.<\/p>\n
